Biochar Application Enhances Soil Health and Pepper Productivity
A new study published in Industrial Crops and Products investigates the effects of biochar on soil quality and pepper yield under continuous cropping conditions. Researchers from the State Key Laboratory found that moderate biochar application (2%) significantly enhanced soil organic matter, available potassium, available phosphorus, root activity, microbial biomass carbon, and microbial biomass phosphorus.
