Electric Vehicles Show Promise in Reducing Air Pollution in Guangdong Province, China
A new study published in the Journal of Environmental Management reveals that electric vehicles (EVs) have the potential to significantly reduce air pollution in the Guangdong province of China. The research, conducted by a team from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, analyzed data from six cities in the region and found that EVs can decrease concentrations of four major air pollutants: particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxide (NO), sulfur dioxide (SO), and carbon monoxide (CO).
