Gansu Province Promotes Mining Rights Transfer and Investment
Gansu Province in the People's Republic of China has taken significant steps to promote mining rights transfer and attract investment in the mining sector. On July 7, the 2025 Gansu Province Mining Rights Transfer Project Investment Promotion Event was held in Lanzhou, where Vice Governor Wang Jun attended and delivered a speech. The event showcased 16 mining rights transfer projects covering strategic minerals such as coal and gold.
At the event, the Provincial Department of Natural Resources explained the province's mining rights transfer and mining rights trading policies. Longnan City introduced its mineral resources and exploration and development policy support, while Jinchuan Group shared its chain extension and supplement situation and cooperation prospects. The signing ceremony resulted in a total contract amount of 36.972 billion yuan, with three major projects signing coal mine resource development cooperation agreements worth 34.647 billion yuan and the Provincial Department of Natural Resources signing mining rights transfer contracts with 10 companies for 2.325 billion yuan.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the province invested a total of 4.71 billion yuan in prospecting around 38 key exploration areas and 13 key mining areas. This investment has helped consolidate strategic mineral resource reserves, prioritize exploration and development of 22 scarce strategic mineral species, and ensure a stable supply of mineral resources. Notably, the province has transferred a total of 633 mining rights, resulting in a profit of 55.415 billion yuan and driving investment of over 100 billion yuan.
