Researchers from Vanderbilt University Brain Institute have published a study on the importance of multisensory integration in understanding the neural and behavioral underpinnings of autism and schizophrenia. The study found that differences in multisensory integration (MSI) ability are a common factor in both conditions, despite their often described opposing characteristics.
