High NEFA Concentrations Impair Pre-Implantation Embryo Development in Bovine In Vitro Fertilisation

Researchers from Newcastle University have conducted a study to investigate the effects of high non-esterified fatty acids (NEFAs) on reproduction in dairy cattle, particularly during in vitro fertilisation (IVF). The study found that high NEFA concentrations can impair pre-implantation embryo development, potentially via effects on both the oocyte and spermatozoon.

Novel Data-Driven Distributed Control Strategy for Output-Coupled Industrial Processes

Researchers from China University of Petroleum (East China) have developed a novel data-driven distributed control strategy for output-coupled industrial processes with unknown models. The method, known as Distributed Output-coupled Dynamic Linearization (DOCDL), captures the complex output coupling relationships between subsystems and overcomes the limitations of traditional model-free adaptive control frameworks.
