Perseus Mining Limited Reports Strong Q4 FY25 Production Results
Perseus Mining Limited, an Australian mining company, has reported a significant increase in gold production from its three operating mines in Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana. The company's Yaoure, Sissingue, and Edikan mines combined to produce 121,237 ounces of gold in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025 (Q4 FY25), a 13,657-ounce increase compared to the previous quarter. The weighted average production cost was US$1,038 per ounce, while the weighted average All-In Sustaining Cost (AISC) was US$1,417 per ounce.
The Yaoure mine in Cote d'Ivoire was a significant contributor to the company's production increase, producing 70,259 ounces of gold at a production cost of US$809 per ounce and an AISC of US$1,180 per ounce. The mine saw a 2% increase in gold production due to a 4% increase in head grade, while mill throughput averaged 509 tonnes per hour (tph), slightly below the prior quarter's 514 tph.
At the Sissingue Gold Complex in Cote d'Ivoire, gold production increased 9%, with AISC decreasing 6% due to an improvement in head grade and mill runtime. The Sissingue mine produced 12,113 ounces of gold at a weighted average AISC of US$2,584 per ounce.
Meanwhile, the Edikan mine in Ghana produced 38,865 ounces of gold at a production cost of US$1,060 per ounce and an AISC of US$1,482 per ounce. However, gold production was down 7%, and AISC was up 26% compared to the previous quarter, due to a decrease in head grade and delays in ramping up mining at the Nkosuo deposit.
