Proteasome Inhibitor NPI-0052 Showcases Chemoimmunosensitization in Tumor Cells
Researchers from the University of California have made significant progress in understanding the mechanisms involved in the sensitization of tumor cells to apoptosis by the novel proteasome inhibitor NPI-0052. In their study, published in Cancer Research, S. Baritaki and colleagues demonstrated that NPI-0052 modifies the NF-kappa B-Snail-RKIP circuitry in tumor cells, resulting in the inhibition of antiapoptotic gene products and chemoimmunosensitization.
