Saint Vincent College Athletics Hall of Fame Inducts Distinguished Class of 2025
Saint Vincent College Athletics Hall of Fame has announced its induction class of 2025, honoring eight individuals and two teams for their exceptional contributions to the college's athletic programs. The class includes Will Delanoy, C'12 (men's lacrosse), Joey Butler, C'09 (men's basketball), Dr. Andrew Herr (cross country), J.C. Howard, C'16 (men's basketball), Martin Corcoran, C'74 (wrestling), Alyssa Taylor, C'14 (women's swimming), the 2012-13 women's tennis team, and the 2004 baseball team.
Will Delanoy, a standout player in men's lacrosse, will be inducted for his impressive collegiate career, during which he amassed 242 career points, scoring 141 goals and dishing out 101 assists. After graduating, Delanoy went on to coach lacrosse at various levels and founded Academy 22, a youth lacrosse development program in New Hampshire.
Joey Butler, a member of the Saint Vincent men's basketball team from 2007-2009, will also be inducted. Butler helped lead the Bearcats to a 40-plus win season and earned All-Conference honors twice, securing Coaches Honors in 2007-2008 and 2008-2009. He finished his Saint Vincent career with 949 points and holds the single-game program record for assists with 16.
Dr. Andrew Herr, a professor of economics and chair of the Department of Economics, will be inducted for his exceptional coaching career, including leading the men's cross country team to seven consecutive Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) cross country titles from 2010 to 2016.
J.C. Howard, a four-year distinguished guard for the men's basketball program, accounted for 1,055 career points, 359 rebounds, 298 assists, and 143 steals. He earned multiple All-PAC honors, including Honorable Mention recognition in 2015 and 2016, and helped lead Saint Vincent to four straight PAC Tournament Championships.
Martin Corcoran, a dominant wrestler from the early portion of the Saint Vincent wrestling program, will be inducted for his impressive career, which included 60-plus collegiate victories and 30 of which came by pinfall. Corcoran earned multiple individual tournament titles and was a regular place winner at the prestigious NAIA District Championships.
Alyssa Taylor, a two-year member of the women's swimming team, will be inducted for her exceptional athletic achievements, which included setting program records in the 500-freestyle, 1000-freestyle, 100-fly, and 200-fly. She was also a part of the school-record setting relay teams in the 400-freestyle, 800-freestyle, 200-medley, and 400-medley.
The 2012-2013 women's tennis team, under the leadership of Head Coach Dr. Christopher McMahon, finished the year as 14-0 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the PAC, earning the program's first ever berth in the NCAA National Tournament. The team was led by Jessica McKetta, C'13, who won the fifth singles championship.
The 2004 baseball team, under the guidance of Head Coach Mick Janosko, finished the season as the American Mideast Conference champions and runners-up in the Region IX Tournament, winning 26 games over the course of the year.
