State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council Announces Completion of First Unit at Beilun Power Plant
The first unit 8 of the first phase of the energy-saving and emission-reduction renovation project of the State Energy Zhejiang Beilun Power Plant has officially entered commercial operation after completing a 168-hour full-load trial run. This project is a major landmark for the State Energy Group in Zhejiang and is part of the key clean thermal power projects in Zhejiang Province's "14th Five-Year Plan". The plant will have a total installed capacity of 7,340 megawatts, providing a stronger power guarantee for the economic development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
The project involves the construction of two 1,000-megawatt ultra-supercritical secondary reheat coal-fired units, Unit 8 and Unit 9. It is one of the "1,000-project-100-billion-yuan" projects in 2023. The two units are scheduled to be put into operation at full capacity in 2025, by which time the installed capacity of the Beilun Power Plant will reach 7,340 megawatts. In order to promote the all-round upgrade of the new generation of coal-fired power, Beilun Power Plant invested 160 million yuan in the first phase of the transformation project, carried out key technology research on low-carbon, high-efficiency and flexible coordination of 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical secondary reheat units, and innovatively implemented more than 10 technologies.
Key Takeaways:
