Sustainable Blood Supply Chain Optimization: New Study Reveals Insights for Indonesia

Researchers at Universitas Islam Indonesia have published a study on sustainable blood supply chain optimization, focusing on a multi-objective optimization model for blood supply chain (BSC) management. The study aims to maximize total profit and fulfillment rate while minimizing carbon emissions. The research team, led by Agus Mansur, developed a mixed-integer linear program (MILP) to solve the BSC management problem, taking into account deterministic demand and fixed blood shelf life.
