New Study Identifies Risk Factors for Postoperative Seizures in Pediatric Brain Tumor Patients
A retrospective study on pediatric patients with brain tumors who underwent craniotomies has identified several risk factors for new-onset postoperative seizures. The study, conducted at the Princess Maxima Center for Pediatric Oncology, found that supratentorial tumor localization, hyponatremia, and age younger than 1 year were significant risk factors for seizures.
