Emerging Role of SGLT2 Inhibitors in Mitigating Cancer Therapy-Related Cardiac Dysfunction

New research from the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania, has highlighted the potential of Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors in reducing cardiac toxicity associated with cancer treatment. According to the study, SGLT2 inhibitors have shown pleiotropic cardioprotective effects, including reduced oxidative stress, inflammation, and myocardial remodeling,
