Strawberry Fruit Development and Volatile Compounds Research Highlights New Understanding of Agriculture

Researchers at the University of Tabriz, Iran, have identified 68 volatile compounds in strawberry fruits at different developmental stages. Their study, published in Acta Agriculturae Slovenica, found that esters increased while aldehydes and alcohol components decreased during fruit development. The researchers also investigated the expression of lipoxygenase, alcohol dehydrogenase, and
