Estimated 10-Year Risk of Recurrent Cardiovascular Events and Potential Health Benefits of Secondary Prevention in People with HIV

People with HIV are at high risk of recurrent cardiovascular events, particularly those with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Researchers from the University Medical Center Utrecht studied a large cohort of individuals with HIV and controls without HIV to estimate the 10-year recurrence risk and the potential benefits of guideline-recommended interventions.
