Discovery of Key Transcriptional Activator in Effector-Triggered Immunity in Plants
Researchers from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, have made a significant breakthrough in understanding the molecular mechanisms of effector-triggered immunity (ETI) in plants. They identified a key transcriptional activator, NbWRKY57, which plays a crucial role in regulating the expression of helper nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat receptors (NLRs) during ETI.
