Sigma-2 Receptor Ligands Enhance Conventional Chemotherapy in Pancreatic Cancer Treatment

A recent study from Washington University, Medical Department, has made significant advancements in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Researchers discovered that sigma-2 receptor ligands, specifically SV119, can potentiate conventional chemotherapies, such as gemcitabine and paclitaxel, to induce apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells. This combination therapy demonstrated a survival benefit in
