Temple University's Emissions Drop 18% Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
During the 2019-2020 fiscal year, Temple University's greenhouse gas emissions plummeted by 18% compared to the previous year, with a 36% reduction from the 2006-2007 baseline. The decrease is attributed to the university's Main Campus closure, which led to reduced commuting, university-financed travel, and solid waste.
