Digoxin and Sodium Valproate Show Potential in Drug-Resistant Epilepsy Treatment
Current research by National University of Pharmacy suggests that cardiac glycoside digoxin may be an effective adjuvant to classical antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) in treating drug-resistant epilepsy. The study aims to elucidate the role of individual markers of neuroinflammation and neuronal apoptosis in the realization of the anticonvulsant potential of digoxin and sodium valproate.
