Autonomic Failure Linked to Obstructive Sleep Apnea: New Research Reveals Complications and Risks

According to a recent study published in the Journal of Clinical Neurophysiology, researchers have discovered a significant relationship between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and autonomic failure in patients. The study, conducted at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital Autonomic Laboratory, evaluated 138 patients with a history of orthostatic intolerance and sleep disturbances who underwent autonomic testing and polysomnography between 2018 and 2024.
