Dieffenbachia seguine Extract Nanoemulsion Shows Promising Inflammation-Inducing Properties
Research has been conducted to investigate the proinflammatory effect of Dieffenbachia seguine leaf extract nanoemulsion via the intranasal route in rats. The study aimed to measure the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-a) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) following intranasal administration. The results showed that the 4% D. seguine nanoemulsion group demonstrated a significant increase in IL-6 and TNF-a levels compared to the control, indicating potential as a natural inflammation-inducing agent. However, its effect remained lower than that of lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
