Climate Change Impacts on Vegetation Productivity in China Uncovered
A new study has been published examining the role of climate change and human activities on vegetation productivity in China. The research, conducted by a team of researchers from Beijing Forestry University, analyzed the spatial distribution of net primary productivity (NPP) and land use degree comprehensive index (LDCI) in China from 2001 to 2020. The study found that human activities contributed more to NPP than did climate change, with a positive joint effect of both increasing the NPP of woodlands, grasslands, and croplands.
