Comparative Analysis of 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT and Multiparametric MRI in Radiation Therapy Planning for Prostate Cancer

Research conducted at the Iran University of Medical Sciences has compared the effectiveness of 68Ga-Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) and multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in delineating the gross tumor volume (GTV) in prostate cancer (PCa). The study aimed to investigate the role of 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT in radiation therapy planning for targeted radiation delivery to PCa. The research team retrospectively analyzed 25 PCa patients who underwent both 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT and mpMRI at two distinct centers.
