Research from Nanjing Forestry University and colleagues reveals that China's strict control measures during the COVID-19 pandemic led to significant reductions in carbon dioxide emissions. Carbon dioxide emissions from the power industry and manufacturing industry decreased by 54.5% and 18.9%, respectively, during the pandemic period.
