The Czech tourism industry has shown resilience in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the number of businesses in the sector remaining relatively stable despite significant declines in demand for travel services. According to an analysis by consultancy Dun & Bradstreet, the number of tour operators, travel agencies, and other similar entities operating on the Czech market increased by 1.5 percent year-on-year to 3,031 in 2024, surpassing the pre-pandemic year of 2019. The number of self-employed persons operating in tourism also increased by 4.4 percent year-on-year to 9,920, although their number fell by about 3.3 percent compared to 2019.
