Ecological Corridors Crucial for Promoting Biological Migration and Ecosystem Services

Researchers in Taiyuan, People's Republic of China, have found that ecological corridors are essential for promoting biological migration, improving ecosystem services, and maintaining ecological balance and human well-being. Using multi-source data, an indicator and model system covering four key ecosystem services was built to analyze the spatial pattern in the Fenhe River Basin. The study's findings provide scientific guidance for the formulation and implementation of ecological sustainability policies in China and reference for the improvement of biodiversity and ecological security in ecologically sensitive regions worldwide.
