Girl Students' Representation in Diploma Engineering Courses Sees Significant Rise in Gujarat

The number of girl students opting for diploma engineering courses in government institutes in Gujarat has witnessed a staggering increase of over two times within a year. This rise in representation is attributed to various factors, including social media campaigns, physical awareness camps, and effective awareness among female students about job prospects. According to the Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses (ACPDC), the representation of girl students in various diploma programmes has increased from 6.29 per cent in 2024 to around 18 per cent this year.
