LRG1 May Aid in RA Disease Supervision, New Study Finds

A new study conducted by researchers at Wuhan 1 Hosp, Dept. of Rheumatology and Immunology, has found that leucine-rich alpha-2-glycoprotein 1 (LRG1) may play a role in the supervision of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease. The study, published in Clinical Rheumatology, aimed to investigate the correlation of serum LRG1 level with disease features and response to biologics in RA patients. The research analyzed 78 RA patients who underwent biologics treatment and found that LRG1 levels were greater in RA patients than in healthy controls.
