Cyber crime investigators in Pune have been approached by five more women who claim to have been cheated by an Australian-based Indian man, Abhishek Shukla, in a case of matrimonial fraud. Shukla, an OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) card holder, was arrested on June 25 at Mumbai airport after a lookout circular was issued by Pune police. He is suspected of contacting over 3,194 women through fake profiles on a matrimonial website and convincing them to invest in a Singapore-based start-up.
