Pirelli and Apulia Region Launch Pilot Project to Monitor Road Infrastructure

The Apulia regional government and Pirelli have signed an agreement to activate a system that will monitor the road network in the region, creating a map of the "state of health" of Apulian roads through a combination of data collected by the tyres and visual data from cameras installed on board vehicles. This pilot project aims to improve road safety and maintenance efficiency, leveraging Pirelli's Cyber Tyre hardware and software system and Univrses technology. The cyber-service vehicles of the Apulia Region, equipped with the combined system, will send data to a cloud, which will be viewable by the Region through digital dashboards.
