Secure Telemedicine Solution for Remote Health Monitoring
Research published by Suranaree University of Technology in collaboration with other institutions has proposed a secure and scalable architecture for remote health monitoring systems that integrate telemedicine technology with the Internet of Things (IoT). The study aimed to alleviate the challenges associated with hospital congestion and the shortage of medical personnel, particularly in monitoring patients with chronic diseases. The proposed solution includes a portable remote health monitoring device, an IoT Gateway appliance in the patient's home, and an IoT Application Gateway Endpoint on a cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure communication through a multi-layered security protocol stack.
